On the morning of September 12, the 2025 opening ceremony of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was held at the sports ground of its Liangxiang campus. The event was attended by prominent figures including Chao Gejin, Director of the Division of Humanities and Philosophy at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Cheng Wei, General Director of the Institute of Foreign Literature and Dean of the School of Foreign Languages; Zhang Zhiqiang, General Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Dean of the School of Philosophy; Zhang Shuhua, General Director of the Institute of Political Science and Dean of the School of Government; He Dexu, Dean of the Business School; Ye Hailin, General Director of the Institute of West Asian and African Studies and the China-Africa Research Institute; Chen Zhigang, Deputy General Director of the Academy of Marxism Research; Zhu Xuyao, Deputy General Director of the Institute of Religious Studies; and Zhuang Guiyang, Deputy General Director of the Institute of Ecological Civilization, along with other university leaders.
During the ceremony, Xu Jincheng, Secretary of the University Party Committee, presented awards and honorary certificates to volunteer groups and organizational support units that participated in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. University President Zhang Zhengwen also issued honorary certificates to volunteer groups involved in the Graduate Student Volunteer Teaching Service Program.
